Considering to donate some money? Already have donate some money? Thanks! We want to tell you, what your donations is used for, besides sponsoring Gregs Energy Drink addiction.
In order for us to seriously change something, we need to gather the greatest community on this planet and allow them to collaborate. Since this goes back to an idea that Michael Baumgardt, the web designer of GregCraven.org, had, I let him tell you in his own words, what his idea is all about.
Hi friends and fans of Greg Craven,
after watching Gregs YouTube videos I really felt that this guy needed some support. Originally I just wanted to help him out with a small web site, but it turned into a larger project. Working on a web site is a time consuming endeavour and there is only so much time anyone of us can dedicate even to something as important as preventing Global Warming. However, I believe that most of us would be willing to spend a day for a good causeü. The only problem is, that clearly there is not much that you can accomplish in that time. But if a thousand people did this, we all of a suddend would have three man years worth of labor. With ten thousand people we already have 30 man years ... with a hundred thousand people it is all of a sudden 300 man years. You get the picture.
What I intend to do is to build a Web Application that allows a large crowd to collaborate on a very largem scale+, each contributing only a small piece of work, but all in an organized collaborative movement. Sounds ambitious? It is, but luckily many of the components of this planned Web Application actually exist as OpenSource Solution. So it really is just a matter of putting the pieces together and make them work as one. I truly believe that crowed sourcing is the solution to fight Global Warming and many other problems that Humanity is facing.
If every visitor of this web site would just donate 1$, we could have a working version in less than six weeks. So there is real potential here, but without your help and support, it will remain a pipe dream.
We will keep you posted on this page about the progress of this project. If you already donated money, thanks again for doing so.
Michael Baumgardt
